Chaturthi Tithi will start on 26th August at 1:54 and will end on the next day i.e. 27th August at 3:44. According to the Panchang, Puja will start from 27th August. Bappa has 12 names. He is known by the names Sumukh, Ekdant, Kapil, Gan Karnak, Lambodar, Vikat, Vighnaash, Dhum Ketu, Vinayak, Ganadhyaksha, Bhalchand and Gajanan.
According to the history of Ganesh Ji, Shiv Parvati's son Bappa was born from the paste applied on the body of Goddess Parvati before bathing. Which was given life. It is believed that the creator of Vedas, Maharishi Vyas went to recite the Vedas and Ganeshji kept writing. After composing the Vedas and the paste drying up, Ganeshji was bathed by taking a dip in water. Since then, this tradition has been going on here.
